  14.     This file contains all of the bugle calls contained in the Music/Bugling Merit Badge Pamphlet.  They are contained in QBASIC *.BAS files which need only be loaded into QBASIC and run.  This method of reproducing these calls was done to allow people who have never heard these calls to experience both the notes as well as some of the phrasing and inflection of the original calls.

  17. Librarian's Note: QBASIC, a proprietary program for DOS systems, includes non-standard extensions to the American National Standard BASIC language.
  18. One of those extensions, the PLAY verb, is not available in any known implemention of BASIC for Macintosh systems.
